CCAP Admissions

Admission to the College and Career Advanced Placement (CCAP) Academy is completed through the Marion County Public Schools magnet application process. Students interested in joining CCAP must submit an application during the district’s designated application window and meet all eligibility requirements established by Marion County Public Schools. As part of the magnet program, CCAP offers students a challenging academic environment with access to Advanced Placement coursework, college and career planning resources, and opportunities designed to prepare them for success after graduation. Families are encouraged to carefully review application deadlines and requirements and contact Forest High School with any questions regarding the admissions process.

MCPS Magnet Expo

The Marion County Public Schools Magnet Expo provides families and students with an opportunity to explore the many specialized programs available throughout the district. During this event, students and parents can learn more about magnet programs, meet with school representatives, ask questions, and discover the unique academic opportunities offered at each school. The Magnet Expo is a great first step for families interested in learning more about programs such as the College and Career Advanced Placement (CCAP) Academy and determining which educational pathway best aligns with a student’s interests, strengths, and future goals. This event is usually held in November at WEC.

CCAP Open House

The CCAP Open House and Student Tours provide prospective students and families with an opportunity to experience the College and Career Advanced Placement (CCAP) Academy firsthand. During these events, students can learn more about the CCAP curriculum, explore Advanced Placement course offerings, meet CCAP teachers and staff, and discover the resources available to support their academic and career goals. Student tours allow prospective CCAP students to see our campus, ask questions, and hear from current students about their experiences in the program. These events are designed to help families determine if CCAP is the right fit for their student and provide valuable information about the application and admissions process.

Application Window and Selection

The Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) Magnet Application Process provides students and families with the opportunity to apply for specialized academic programs throughout the district, including the College and Career Advanced Placement (CCAP) Academy. During the designated application window, families can complete an online application and explore available magnet options that align with their student’s interests, academic goals, and future plans.

Applications must be submitted during the open enrollment period to be considered for the upcoming school year. Families are encouraged to review program requirements, attend magnet events such as the MCPS Magnet Expo and CCAP Open House, and learn more about each program before making their selections. If demand exceeds available space, placement may be determined through the district’s magnet selection process. Students and families should visit the MCPS Magnet Programs website for current application dates, deadlines, eligibility requirements, and additional information. The application window typically opens in mid- November and runs through January 31. Application portal can be accessed here.
