As the 9th- and 10th-grade CCAP counselor, I am here to support the students of Forest High School. The transition to high school can be challenging, and I am here to help make that transition as smooth as possible. I also want to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and empowered to succeed.

My Story
I began my career with Marion County as a teacher but quickly realized the need for additional student support. This inspired me to continue my education and become a school counselor. I attended the College of Central Florida, where I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. I later earned my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University.
I taught for four years before transitioning to school counseling, where I have now served for six years. This is my second year at Forest High School. I am a certified school counselor and am also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have also had the privilege of serving as a member of the Marion County School Counselor Association, where I help advocate for our profession and support the important work of school counselors throughout our district.
On a personal note, I have a wonderful, supportive husband, Manny, and our fur baby, Peanut, who is a long-haired Dachshund. I truly value life and believe that everyone has the opportunity to make a positive impact. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the beach, traveling, spending time with my family, and volunteering in the children's ministry at my local church.
