Welcome! As the CCAP School Counselor for Forest High School’s 11th and 12th grade students, I am proud to support one of Marion County’s most respected and academically rigorous programs, offering personalized pathways that reflect each student’s strengths, interests, and future goals.
I provide academic advising, college and career planning, and individualized support as students prepare for life after high school. Working closely with students and families, I help develop a plan for success, navigate important decisions, and prepare for the exciting opportunities that lie ahead.

My Story
As a Forest High School alumna, Forest has always held a special place in my heart. It is my alma mater, where my school counseling career began more than 30 years ago, and where I met my husband, Wally, while we were students.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and my master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University. I began my career as an English teacher and soon became a school counselor at Forest High School. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving students in Marion and Leon counties before returning to Forest.
Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for helping students discover their strengths, excel in challenging academic programs, and prepare for college and future careers. Guiding students through important decisions while helping them reach their goals has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
Today, Wally and I are proud parents of our two grown sons, Grant and Reid. Outside of school, I enjoy traveling, birding, photography, staying active, and cheering on the Florida State Seminoles. I also have the privilege of serving on the Florida State University Counselor Advisory Board, which allows me to stay informed about higher education trends and admissions while strengthening my ability to support students as they plan for college.
